The image was clearly taken at the Paris International Exposition of 1867 as the apsidal end of the exhibition building can be seen to the left of the light. Delamotte was the photographer of choice for Chance Bros., although Delmaet and Durandelle also photographed at the 1867 exposition. This light was erected at Tearaght Island, Ireland, in 1869.
